great idea, just maybe flatten the thing out a little, eh?
the inside will probably stay raw if you don’t.
im curious about this now too lol

A mess, that is raw in the middle & burnt outside.
The thickness is crucial to proper cooking time & temperature.

they would end up having to be made like “biscotti” (baked twice).
meaning: bake it for a regular amount of time (just till the bottom is brown) then take out slice and bake for a few more minutes. it actually gives it a really good crunch!
    good luck!

Nothing would happen, you’d just get a very big badly baked cookie…

good question! made me curious. but if you do that then you might as well eat it raw, and its really good!

The outside would burn and be black and probably start to smoke a lot and the inside would be uncooked dough.

When the butter in the cookie dough starts melting, it will make the batter run, which will fill the pan and overflow it. Remember that cookie dough usually makes 3-5 dozen cookies.

I make cookie bars out of it. I take two of them and let them defrost a bit. Next, I take them both and set them side by side in a shallow biscuit pan. Place plastic wrap or wax paper over the top, and smash down until it is all one smooth even sheet. Then, i bake it at 325 F until it is golden!

I tried the other way when I was a teenager thinking it would make a bar lol! It didn’t, it spread out, but was very crisp on tops and edges, and mushy goo on the inside!

Well all you gotta do is toy with the heat a little you see it depends on how you mess with the heat. okay if a flat blob of cookie does is what you want you will want to start with low heat say 225-250 degrees and then after it is flat turn up the heat to say 425 degrees then once it is nice and brown like the good little cookie it is then take it out and wait to cool and enjoy; but if you desire a crunchy but gooey on the inside log of cookie awesomeness, then what you will wanna do is start out with the intense heat. So heat the oven to 425 degrees and put the cookie log or brick what ever it is and cook it until it is browned but remember even though you change the temperature of the oven doesn’t mean it will immediately turn to that temp so with that in mind you must not wait until it is perfectly brown on the outside because by the time it goes back down to the next temperature it will be burnt so wait until it is kind of brown then change the heat to 225-250 degrees and then cook it and the tricky part is figuring out when it is done. So half the original time on the package and after that gently poke the cookie log if it is crunchy, but gives too much from the inside, then it is not done yet but remember you want to remember how it feels when you eat a cookie soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside so you want it to give but still feel a bit tender like a good piece of meat.

Sounds like something to do with the kids on a wet day – just to see what happens.
