I’m going off of my 06 w2 here so I figured the difference of Line 1 and Line 3 is the amount on Line 12 code D. Now I’m trying to figure out how to get the Line 12 code D amount so I can get the amount that goes in Line 3.

You cannot “file” your taxes with only your pay stub. You can fill them out, and then file when your W2 arrives. You need to double check the W2 to insure it has the same amounts as your last paycheck stub.
Issues like this is why you aren’t allowed to file from your paystub, and are legally required to wait for your W-2.
It is against IRS regulations to file your tax return before you get your W2. After Feb 15, if you still haven’t gotten it, you can use your paystub – IF you have tried to get your W2 and have been unsuccessful. Please be careful with this. Many times the W2 is different from the last paystub, and you can wind up with an IRS letter later on asking you for money – plus penalties and interest. I’ve seen it too many times when people decide to file on their own with a paystub.
