I’m on day 8 of the 10 day pills. I’m on these natural hormone ones. I think they are called Prometrium or something like that. My doctor didn’t give an exact time when my period would start up. So, I was wondering if any of you out there have taken this, and if you started your period during the time you were taking the pills, or perhaps after. If after, about how many days after you stopped taking the pills? I know there is a very very slight chance that I could be pregnant, but as of two days ago, I was testing negative. But I’m just wondering how long is a normal time for your period to resume after the pills before I need to either retest, or go in and see my doctor.
My doctor did have me take a pregnancy test before I started taking them. I actually asked her what would happen if I was pregnant, if it would cause any harm. She said they actually use this hormone to help sustain a pregnancy, so that no, it wouldn’t cause any harm.
Normally it takes 7-10 days after being on pill for the periods to start,U can wait for 12 days & call back your doc if the periods havent started by then..
I didn’t take the natural hormone. But, on progesterone I had my cycle usually about 3 days after taking my last pill. I’m confused by the pregnancy thing. Most doctors make sure you aren’t pregnant prior to taking progesterone because it induces your cycle and will end a pregnancy, if one exists. Good luck!!
I just finish taking my last month of a 3 month dosage of Prometrium last month and all 3 months the day after I took the last pill my period came on. good luck and GOD BLESS!
