So my boyfriend and I are planning on getting an apartment together in September, if not sooner. We’re young, I’m 17 and he’s 19, and have only been dating for a month but we’re both sure that we want to give this a try. I’m afraid to tell my parents though. I know they will freak out and hate the idea, I’ll be 18 so there’s really nothing they can do about it. But how do I bring it up and tell them without getting yelled at for hours?

They love you so they yell. Do this and they may be so mad they don’t yell. I think it is better they yell at you and show they care. Even if it isn’t what you want.
wait until you’re 18 to tell them and just be blunt, you’ll still get yelled at but when you’re 18 there’s not much they can do, just be sure that this is what you want
Ben there done that at about your age it really messed my life up my girlfriend ended up pregnant. soon i was trying to SUPPORT a family with dead end jobs God created marriage for a reason. there is a whole lot of heart ache that could result from this take my advice. grow up a little build a life for yourselves, then join in holy matrimony if the Lord leads you………… a month is not long enough to know if you’re right for each other. your parents are wise if they agree
Girl I am 20 third year in college and I just told my mom that my fiance and I was moving together and I got screamed at… So this is what you do, but it really depends on the relationship you have with your parents….not to mention me and my fiance been together 6yrs and engaged (we will be engaged 2 months before we move )… My mom love him and she’s happy for us its just that MOST parents are not ready to let go and to express the hurt that it may cause for them to let you go out into life and make mistakes in which we will all make whether its spending money on bills when you can stay free and live by rules, and etc… MY ADVICE if you wanna tell her before you actually turn 18
