    Efile does speed up your receit of refund. Typically 8-15 days after return acknowledged.

    In normal years, simple returns can be processed within 2 weeks. I had to mail my return in and still got the refund within 4 weeks. I figure it took 3 weeks to get to my turn at someone rekeying the return into the system.

    It should take about 2 weeks if you e-file with direct deposit. I used TaxAct rather than TurboTax. But I e-filed Monday evening the 3rd and my direct deposit is scheduled for tomorrow Friday the 14th.

    I e-filed IL directly with the state the same night and already received that.
