I’m an 18 year old girl, a senior, and I’m planning to meet up with a friend in another state by plane. They don’t know this friend and there pretty protective of me. What should I tell them that would sound reasonable?

don’t tell them.
if your parents have no clue of this person, i say bad idea. if u were my child i would not let you go either. it is to much going on in the world today for you to be traveling to another state to meet someone that your parents have no clue about. yes you maybe 18 and a senior but that means nothing. do not be irresponsible about this. if you want to hold your parents trust i say tell them the truth or have this friend come here to meet your family. weather guy or girl you do not need to travel without you parents knowledge.
This is not good and you are begging for trouble. Out of state to meet a “friend” your parents don’t know translates into meeting a guy you don’t know either but more than likely met online and he told you a bunch of lies and you’re running right into a trap that could be very very dangerous to you. You’re going to be far away from any help and already lying to your parents because you know they would not let you go because they would know it is dangerous for you. You are literally risking your life your future and your safety if you go through with this insanity.
