Edit your profile. It’s one of the selections you can make on the Edit profile screen. In the email communication from YA section. :)

Click on your “My profile”, there choose “Edit my info”. in that section you can do whatever you want and stop yahoo sending you mails when your friends ask questions.

The only emails you can’t stop are the ones advising you that you have been chosen as a Best Answer, the ones alerting you to extend (or choose a Best Answer) on your questions, and violation notices. Those are not optional. What you can do for those is to use a FILTER in your email to send them to a special folder for all YA emails so they don’t clutter your INBOX — and then either simply delete them or check them at your leisure.

Click “My Profile,” “Edit My Info,” and then scroll down to the section concerning email communications. Un-check the boxes you do not wish to receive alerts for. The only email notification you cannot prevent is the best answer notification email. Other than that, you can disable it all.
