It’s likely a cyst or tumor of some sort.You should take him to the vet to have it checked out,as it may need to be drained or removed. It shouldn’t be too much if you take him while the lump is still small.The bigger the lump,the more expensive it will be to remove it.And like I said,it may just be a simple cyst that can be drained.

well if it was my dog i would not care about the amount of money i would get it checked to get him better and he might lick it because of pain some dogs do that and it may be serious or not.
My dog has one too. It doesn’t seem to be hurting him, but we’re taking him to the vet as soon as we can afford it. I’d recommend doing the same.
Your dog could have gotten stung. I would monitor the lump and if it gets larger or your dog starts acting funny then you are going to have to take them to a vet. Depending on where you live, PetSmart has a vet hospital called Banfield and does not charge an office fee on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, which does help lower the cost.
