Have a DUI charge that was continued without a finding on 8/20/08. On probation for year. Lost license for 45 days. I’m applying for a hardship license Tues, the 26th once I’ve enrolled in a 24D education program.
My question is, how long will it take for them to approve my request and do I have to wait for something in the mail? Also, I’ve heard it costs 500 to reinstate (for a first offense). Will it cost an additional 500 once I get my real license back after the 45 days? (The registry said no, but I’m not convinced) Thirdly, I’m self employed as a pet-sitter. I have all my tax & insurance info, but I’m nervous about being approved. I would hate for them to require references from my clients about where they live etc. I certainly can’t take the bus for my line of work. I have several clients that I see over the course of the day…and vacation clients that I need to see in the morning and at night. They live all over the place, so the bus thing doesn’t work. Any thoughts on getting approved, or what I should bring? How long it will take? What to expect? Thanks so much
Thanks, I’ve seen this website before but didn’t find specific answers. I’m trying to find out mostly about the cost and how long it takes. If anyone else has gone through this and has any thoughts they would be much appreciated. Thanks!
