Depends if things go well, and it depends on where you are at, and the vet you choose.. Could cost $1000 and up.
Insurance is for health problems, not to pay for health risks you take with your dog, on your own. You are responsible for paying for c-section etc yourself.

a cecarian can easily cost $1000- 2000.. more if there are complications, or the dog needs to go to the ER vet because its the middle of the nite!

Insurance? Its really expensive to have maternal/prenatal care on human health insurance.

Most pet insurances only cover preventative care and accidental care.. they do not cover pregnancies.

It would cost anywhere from $1000-$2000. It is good you are looking into this early, since English Bulldogs always need c-sections, because of their small hips.

You shouldn’t breed dogs just to make money, that is selfish and greedy. Don’t breed her, there are enough unwanted puppies in the world. Go to your local dog shelter and see how many poor dogs there are there that will be put down because no one wants them. Do her, yourself and the would be pups a favour and get her spayed.

Is your dog already unhealthy? Why are you concerned that she may need a C-section. If she is not healthy enough to deliver, you should not even consider breeding her anyway. I would have to ask, “Why are you interested in breeding her” Are you trying to improve on the breed or do you just want puppies? Because there are already so many unwanted puppies out there as it is. If you have to depend on insurance to cover the cost of breeding – you should NOT be breeding in the first place. It is a LOT of work, a HUGE responsibility, a HUGE expense, and if you do it correctly – you will not make a dime. I think you need to really think about the reasons why you want to breed, and what is in the best interest of the Dam before even considering this.

It usually runs up to about $2000, including complications. The risks are high though, for both the b!tch and the pups. Are you sure you want to see your dog lying on the operating table with her innards spilling out?

Don’t breed her! You don’t know anything about breeding and the ethics of being a responsible breeder. It’s more than sticking 2 dogs together to make money. That’s what a backyard breeder does.

English bulldogs very often have C sections and hard deliveries. Why would you want to put your poor dog through that?

    Get her spayed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
